We eat lots of soft fruit, and love strawberries. So why not try them a different way ...

We can’t
harvest our crop without good fruit pickers, and every year over 300 seasonal
workers, mainly students, spend their summer here helping to pick and pack our
fruit. We have over 15 nationalities working with us.
The strawberries are picked, sorted and packed by hand and loaded, usually within 24 hours, onto refrigerated trucks for delivery to supermarket distribution depots. We always stress to those applying for summer jobs with us that the work is hard, and does not suit everyone. However, many students return here for another season having enjoyed the experience very much.
We are situated in a beautiful rural area overlooking the sea and the town of St Andrews. There are superb beaches, a leisure centre, lovely walks, historic monuments and plenty of bars and restaurants in the town. Trips to various tourist attractions are regularly arranged for staff. Past excursions have included trips to Loch Ness, Glencoe and the Highlands and Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Accommodation is in fully equipped self-catering mobile homes on the farm and facilities include television, darts, pool, table tennis and bicycles, among other things. There are also barbecue facilities and party nights with varying themes are organised regularly where the aim is to bring everyone together and promote friendship and understanding between different cultures and nationalities.
